Who we are
Eduboard Limited T/A askEddi (askEddi) is the ‘Data Controller’ and ‘Data Processor’ for the Open Data Project for Schools. Eduboard Ltd is a limited company with a registered office at 30 Crosby Road North, Waterloo L22 4QF head office is located at No 4. St Paul’s Square Floor 7, Liverpool L3 9SJ. Our principle activity is to provide software and data solutions for the education sector.
Collection of personal data
This notice describes the personal data that askEddi collects from or about you, and how we use that information.

Except as otherwise permitted or required by law we will retain your personal data to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected.
We collect your personal data to allow us to:
- Process your software enquiry and event booking
- Process your request for software or services efficiently and fulfil a contract that we have agreed with you or your organisation
- Despatch educational resources
- Complete any financial transactions efficiently
- Manage relevant communications relating to the enquiry or solutions you have ordered
- Carry out follow-up exercises or surveys with your consent
- Add you to our mailing list to receive updates on solutions and services with your consent
- Electronic registration services

We have processes in place to make sure that only those people in our organisation who need access to your data can do so. We never share your data with any third parties unless we have your written consent to do so.
Delegate lists are used for registration and fire, health and safety purposes during events. We do not share this information with anyone other than our registration partner and the venue.
You can change your preferences at any time. You can unsubscribe from communications at any time. You can update your preferences by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
We may also need to pass your details to one of our consultants in the case of orders or enquiries for bespoke services. We will ask for your permission to do this.
Live Chat Function:
Data is stored on equipment issued by askEddi and is encrypted and password protected. In the case of a suspected data breach, all devices will automatically be wiped clean. Any paper records such as evaluation sheets, manual booking forms are transported and stored securely.
We do not share data with third parties such as marketing companies and third-party technology suppliers.
We sometimes post customer testimonials on our Website which may contain personal information such as the customer’s name. We obtain the customer’s consent, prior to posting the testimonial, to post their name along with their testimonial. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, you can contact us at email@example.com
Your rights as a data subject
You have the following rights in relation to the way in which askEddi deals with your personal data:

- rights related to automated decision-making, including profiling

Where you exercise your right to object or withdraw your consent need to notify the askEddi Data Protection Officer (DPO). We may process your personal data without your knowledge or consent where we are permitted or required by law or regulatory requirements to do so or where we have a legitimate purpose for doing so. In such a case, we will not process more personal data than is required under the circumstances.

The information collected by the cookies is sent back to the web server each time the browser requests a page from the server. This enables the web server to identify and track how the web browser is using our Website.

We use Google Analytics to help us understand how our Website is being used so that we can improve how it functions and our services. Google Analytics generates statistical and other information about how websites are used by using cookies.
